Last night, 100s of zombies invaded and rambled around Dorney Park, an amusement park in Allentown, PA. Participants either came dressed as zombies, or got “bloodied up” by one of the many make up artists there. Lines were incredibly short, as the Living were not allowed entry.
Organizers New Jersey Zombie Walk, Philly Zombie Crawl, and NYC Zombie Crawl earned a Guinness Book of World Records for “most costumed riders on a theme park ride.”
The band Nassau Chainsaw also performed.

Techland has fired over six brand new screenshots, wallpapers and concept art for tropical zombie getaway Dead Island, together with a biography of one of the playable characters.
The character in question is Sam B, a “once famous rap star, who has now fallen from glory”. As his part in the pantomime begins, Sam is about to perform his well-known number “Who Do You Voodoo” at the Royal Palms Resort Hotel, hoping to claw back some scraps of reputation. Unfortunately, B-movie convention chooses this point to intervene.
“Once strong, self-confident and proud, Sam B has had a troubled past and a history of drug and alcohol abuse, as his private life became caught in a haze of fake friends and bad advisors,” explains the press release.
“Trying to pick up the pieces and earn some extra cash, he suddenly finds himself surrounded by a whole lot of different problems…”
The screens fill in the rest of that sentence. Sam is depicted applying handfuls of Molotov!!tails to screeching zombie faces. Good one, mate.
The wallpapers are available in 1280, 1600 and 1920 pixel widths.
Dead Island’s box art was recently censored in North America by the ERSB. The game saw something of a publicity explosion a few months ago thanks to a powerful new trailer, which depicts the final moments of a young girl.
