Last week, Tired Hands debuted Necto Cooler, a beer inspired by the most nostalgia-inducing beverage of all time. Originally released in the 80s as a tie-in with cartoon series The Real Ghostbusters, Hi-C’s Ecto Cooler was an orange-flavored, green-colored drink that is fondly remembered by 80s and 90s kids.
In order to achieve the retro-inspired flavor, Tired Hands used grilled nectarines to make the sour wheat beer, and they promoted the release with a painting of mascot Slimer on one of the brewery’s windows. Not surprisingly, the limited brew didn’t last long, completely selling out in a matter of days.
The Lolo Lid is a stealth beer koozie that allows you to drink beer while out in public as it will make it look like you’re just drinking coffee. It’s a special lid that holds on to a standard can of beer. You then have to attach it to a paper coffee cup to turn the whole thing into a beer-insulating Koozie that looks like a coffee cup. And if you want your own, you’ll have to pledge $20.

French artist Charles Pétillon has filled london’s 19th century covent garden market building with 100,000 giant white balloons. Named ‘Heartbeat’ , the work is pétillon’s first public art installation, and his first ever live work outside of his native country.
Pétillon elaborates, “The balloon invasions I create are metaphors, their goal is to change the way in which see the things we live alongside each day without really noticing them. With ‘Heartbeat’ I want to represent the market building as the beating heart of the area – connecting its past with the present day to re-examine its role at the heart of London’s life.”
A new Jurassic World Official Trailer, directed by Colin Trevorrow.
“Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park (1993), Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor’s interest, which backfires horribly.”
